Description
The Blood Angels were one of the original Space Marine Legions. Their Primarch is Sanguinius. They are particularly well known for their bloodthirsty nature in battle. They are also one of the most long-lived Chapters, and have a refined aesthetic sense.Announcements

Sanguinary Priest with CCW and Hand Flamer [*Move through Cover]
Scout Sergeant with Power Weapon [*Preferred Enemy]
1 Scout with Missile Launcher [*Relentless]
2 Scouts with BP & CCW
4 Scouts with Sniper Rifles

Had to ditch the camo-cloaks for points. But everyone can 'move through cover', all of scouts can 'scout' and 'infiltrate' if they choose too. Potential Red Thirst, and the SP FnP + FC bubble. The missile launcher can move and still shoot... the power weapon re-rolls!
I not sure yet if I should take more bp&ccw and less sniper or vise versa.
Thoughts? (this is for Kill Team)
The faster, deadlier version might be:
Landspeeder with 2 heavy flamers
Assault Squad Sergeant with Power Weapon [*Preferred Enemy]
1 Assault Marine with Flamer [*Feel no Pain]
1 Assault Marine [*Furious Charge or Fleet]
3 more Assault Marines
-- 200 points --
Deadly for 200 points but if only 3 die then we are checking moral to see if the game ends (in a loss).
Ok, the more I think about it the more I am conflicted regarding Sniper Rifle versus Bolter (for Kill Team).
The sniper range and rending are major pluses; denying marines a save is huge when every model counts so much. But the pinning is useless in a game where every model is it's own unit, and the wounding on a 4 is really a negative; because we won't see any T5 but we will likely see T3. Also it's a heavy.
The bolter can shoot only 24" (instead of 36") but we are only playing on a 4x4 anyway, so I don't see that hurting too much. More importantly it can move and still double-tap. It also hits T3 on 3's or better. Neither can assault after firing.
Unfortunately I only bought Sniper Scouts and they don't come with bolters lol.
Thoughts?
I didn't realize in time for the tournament - but now I've noted that IC's already have 'move through cover' so I gave the SP 'scouts' instead.
(Attn: matty)
This game was really a lot of fun, we used the Kill Team rules from the Battle Missions book. It was Blood Angels versus Space Marines versus Sisters of Battle. We used the 'specialist rules' as well, and we had a ton of terrain (4x4 board).
The Sisters had mostly bolters, a heavy flamer, a veteran with some nasty weapon - there was a total of 11 of them I think.
The Marine player had two 5 man squads with no special weapons, but one was an assault squad.
My army was proxied unfortunately (I don't have any scouts go figure):
- Sanguinary Priest [*Move through Cover]
- 3 Scouts with BP & CCW
- 3 Scouts with sniper rifles and Camo Cloaks (I see now that this is not legal)
- 1 Scout with Missile Launcher [*Relentless]
- Scout Sergeant with Power Weapon [*Preferred Enemy]
To make this legal I would ditch 1 BP&CCW scout and give them _all_ camo-cloaks, since you cannot give them cloaks individually - oops; or just no cloaks.
The sniper scouts didn't really perform. The missile launcher with relentless was cool even though I forgot to move him one turn and he got assaulted by an Asslt marine - and won fortunately.
The SP FnP bubble was really cool as was the FC when he and my sergeant charged into 2 marines and killing them; but having the priest kept me from infiltrating. The sisters took the SP out right away though, and that Heavy flamer was just too good for this game.
The camo cloaks were also very nice... 3+ save (except against heavy flamer doh).
I beat the SM player down pretty bad and he eventually failed his survive roll and was removed. The sisters ended up converging on me with massed bolter fire and that heavy flamer. They wiped me out. Quick, brutal and fun. Each model as an individual unit was as difficult to sort out as I thought it would be.
Wow lots of typos... I wasn't even drunk. Well, I see now that I couldn't have infiltrated anyway because the Kill Team rules stipulate that you must start in your deployment zone.

Not being a huge fan of Bikes, I might drop the Attack Bike and the Sanguinary Priest and throw a Chaplain in with the Vanguard Vets instead, just to give them that extra oomph when they come in a-whippin' and a-whompin'.
I don't know the attack bike give more mobility and is a good distraction while you bring other forces up. The bad guys can't completely ignore the bike.
its a multi melta you can't let it get 2 feet from anything thats worth a considerable amount of points...its a toughness six distration for 50points

Total: 2000. I did playtest my troop choices and the HQ tandem of Epistolary and Seth and as long as i can keep out of L.O.S. of the low A.P. guys he should make it up to at least 1 vehicle
My only comment would be that you only have 2 scoring units and one is totally not mobile (a tact squad with Lascannon shouldn't be moving much).
Oh also the DC (for some reason) doesn't get a discount on the rhino without jump packs.
yea, but thats cuz this is an anti mech list for the most part, and the point of the assault squad is wait for the DC to push someone off an objective and then hold it, also it has a fair bit of range for a Blood Angels Army in that its got a whirlwind a devastators, plus with Seth chances are 50/50 that these squads will get fearless
Yeah it is pretty good anti-mech but you will have a real hard time winning any game with objectives. There are only 3 basic missions; one has 2 objectives so you might be alright at least for a draw, and another has 3-5 objectives which I'd say is a pretty much a sure loss for you unless you can get a wipe out. So unless everything goes perfectly as planned you are already starting out in a tough spot to win.
And I remember now the DC doesn't get a discount on rhino because they don't come standard with jump packs.
its definitely indefinite. im not sure i even want death company, plus i could probaly get a lot more out of a list if 265 points wasnt a kamikaze suicide destroy destroy break smash
